fouinix, What is the problem with your server ?
I must reconnect many time (about 4 or 5)to retrieve all the packages. The download speed sometime goes 0 K/s while retrieve packages ,I must stop the installation and run adsl-start
again, and run the installation again and again . I am in China.
Thanks

Are you sure your connection isn't the problem?
I'm downloading all the packages without any problems at a very decent speed.

Yep, no problem for most people.
I think it's your connection or the network between France and China

It downloads packages very fast in most times, usually over 100 K/s,:)
but sometime it suddenly goes hangs at 0 K/s.
I must reconnect about 4or 5 times for upgrading all the packages

fouinix: are you using versionpkg for these pkgs? It would make your life 100x more easy! What do you use to sync with the server or do you run your own server?
Offline
Ah. Thanks!

Hi dibblethewrecker
Afflicted, I do not have experience, I'm a simply user of Arch and e17.
I compile the e17 cvs packages for me and place at the disposal the for other users.
If you have simpler and more safe tools, I will try to use them.
I don't use versionpkg, I make the packages manually, one by one in a specific order. The date is automatic (pkgver=`date +%Y%m%d`)
Concerning the server, it's a free server of my IAF with 1Gb space.

Well take a look at versionpkg on the wiki - it removes the need for the pkgver=`date +%Y%m%d` setting by doing that part itself.
Generally speaking it is also good practice to make the PKGBUILDs avialable for everyone to look at and build from if they want to. If you switch your PKGBUILDs to use versionpkg and allow people to download them it might help reduce your bandwidth usage.
Just some friendly suggestions
