Fouinix: I have been away from the e17 scene for a while, and I tried updating my own versions, which doesn't work right now, so I wonder: are you including all modules and stuff ?

can you give  a list?

Are you sure your connection isn't the problem?
I'm downloading all the packages without any problems at a very decent speed.

Yep, no problem for most people.
I think it's your connection or the network between France and China sad

Re: e17-cvs packages

No - checkout fouinix' sig

fouinix: are you using versionpkg for these pkgs?  It would make your life 100x more easy!  What do you use to sync with the server or do you run your own server?

Re: e17-cvs packages

Hi dibblethewrecker

Afflicted, I do not have experience, I'm a simply user of Arch and e17.
I compile the e17 cvs packages for me and place at the disposal the for other users.

If you have simpler and more safe tools, I will try to use them.

I don't use versionpkg, I make the packages manually, one by one in a specific order. The date is automatic (pkgver=`date +%Y%m%d`)

Concerning the server, it's a free server of my IAF with 1Gb space.

Re: e17-cvs packages

Well take a look at versionpkg on the wiki - it removes the need for the pkgver=`date +%Y%m%d` setting by doing that part itself.

Generally speaking it is also good practice to make the PKGBUILDs avialable for everyone to look at and build from if they want to.  If you switch your PKGBUILDs to use versionpkg and allow people to download them it might help reduce your bandwidth usage.

Just some friendly suggestions smile

CVS Update -> 0.16.999.014

* config menu was replaced by a config panel (menu editor and background selector)
* when trying to exit or restart enlightenment, there will be now a security question regarding if you're really sure
* new design in window "About e17"

Are you using conky? I thought it was not working very well with E17?

Re: e17-cvs packages

Yes it's conky
It disappears sometimes during 1 second, nothing dramatic
I placed a conky.eap in the folder ~/.e/e/applications/starting
