No wifi connections possible with network manager and cinnamon

Hello,

I just freshly installed my system with cinnamon, but I can't connect to wifi networks.

The network-manager-applet runs properly and finds all the nearby networks, but when I click on one I immediately get the "Activation of network failed" notification.

Could it be an issue with the policy kit? Because I also can't change the time and you also have to authenticate to do that?

Any help would be apprechiated!

Re: No wifi connections possible with network manager and cinnamon

can you connect to a wireless network manually?  ie via wpa_supplicant || iwconfig and dhcpcd etc?  or possibly with a different network manager.  I like to keep netcfg and wicd on my computer, though I use netcfg 99.9% of the time. It is nice to have a backup for debugging.

Hey,

yeah it works with wicd, so I guess it's an issue with networkmanager!

Thanks for the answer!
