Note to the wine users

With wine 1.5.11, I've changed the flags for compiling wine and added a flag. This is as a reaction to quite an old and fairly complicated bug with glibc, gcc and wine. Those interested may search the bug tracker. Essentially what you can expect is that some applications that didn't work before, especially those that use SSL in some way (fairly many), will now magically work. Or at least that is the hope.

Please report back findings and try some programs that would never work for you. Likewise, please test your known-working applications and report whether the changes broke anything.

Re: Note to the wine users

Indeed, Starcraft starts now, thanks :-)
I'll still be using wine 1.3.19-2 until I learn how to disable sound or speed the thing up in some other way (it's unplayably sloooow atm).

It frightens me that you both play video games and still find time to help on the forums karol. ;-)

Can you try these: 1) 32bit chroot 2) removing -mstackrealign 3) removing -mincoming-stack-boundary=2 4) 2) and 3) together and report results each time?

QFT.

Sorry Sven, but I've basically stopped using Wine since I stopped gaming, so will not be of any help here.

Ooops, my bad. For some reason I thought using_GNU started the thread.
