Openfire and the Kraken IM gateway: OTR negotiated on the server-side?

Would it be possible to have my Openfire server encrypt and decrypt OTR, then pass the message to an XMPP account in plaintext over SSL?  This would make every client able to connect to XMPP through SSL have OTR capability, you know?   Any thoughts?
