BIND Problems

I've configured my named.conf file according to the docs I've found online, and I've made proper zone files for each zone declared in named.conf.  However, when I run /etc/rc.d/named start I get the following error message:

named: capset failed: Operation not permitted: please ensure that the capset kernel module is loaded. See insmod(8)

I've tried modprobe capset but but it says:

FATAL: Module capset not found.

I'm not sure how to resolve this issue.  Any thoughts?

Re: BIND Problems

I don't really know what this is about, but I remember that the capset module is actually called capability.. Try loading that.

Re: BIND Problems

Yep, that was the module.  However, BIND still fails to start.  Any ideas why that might be happening?  Is there a common configuration problem or something?

Ummm how are we supposed to know what happened when it "failed to start"? Can you provide any other info?
