I am a little confused now that I am no longer supposed to load kernel modules in rc.conf. Most of the modules that I use are associated with a program (e.g., virtualbox) and I load them from a .conf file with a corresponding name (e.g., /etc/modules-load.d/virtualbox.conf). I use fuse to allow sshfs. Does it make more sense to load fuse from /etc/modules-load.d/fuse.conf or /etc/modules-load.d/sshfs.conf or maybe something like /etc/modules-load.d/networking.conf

In the end, it's just a name. You can name it whatever makes most sense to you, as long as the actual content of the configfile is correct.
