So i tried to run mintmenu in the terminal and when i start any program it gives the error:

[Errno 2] No such file or directory
and sometimes:

There is a new version.

Re: Problems with MintMenu 5.3.7-1 [SOLVED]

mintmenu 5.3.7-4 is now available, which fixes the "application do not launch" problem. the pluginerrors on launch of the menu or when executing "reload plugins" persist.

Works fine when launching applications, thank you, but I still get this error when initializing mintmenu:

Couldn't initialize plugin system_management : Traceback (most recent call last):

  File "/usr/lib/linuxmint/mintMenu/mintMenu.py", line 337, in PopulatePlugins
    MyPlugin.do_plugin()

    if os.path_exists("/usr/bin/mate-terminal"):

AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'path_exists'

and Log out/Shutdown options disappeared.

Same here to !
A temproary fix to the error is to right click on the mintmenu and select Preferences -> System and toggle terminal,lock screen,log out and quit !
