Not sure exactly when this came up, but some output on my home desktop now shows annoying diamond question mark characters instead of the proper special characters.
morpheus /etc/pacman.d # mv mirrorlist.pacnew mirrorlist
mv: overwrite <?><?><?>mirrorlist<?><?><?>? y
The forums strip out the special characters, so here's a screeneie:
Not sure exactly where this stems from; I'm guessing something to do with the removal of things from rc.conf to their own files, but not sure which part in particular affects this. I''ve compared my work machine (which doesn't display the issue) to my home machine and I can't find any differences that I think would cause it.
