Alternative main menus

I would like to know a list of alternative menus for window managers.

There is cardapio, gnomenu and mintmenu, but none of them can be installed on arch due to outdated packages in AUR.
I know there are others, but I can't remember their names and I can't find anything with google.

Also, what do I need to install if my XFCE is missing a default main menu?

Re: Alternative main menus

Perhaps MyGTKMenu?

If you chose to use the default xfce panel (xfce asks on first login) it has a main menu by default. Otherwise it should be an option if you right click the panel to add stuff afiak.

Can't you just update the PKGBUILD and install the latest version? Why go about changing apps? That's just dumb.

Re: Alternative main menus

There are many alternative menus for window managers. If you want a manageable list you will need to be more specific. This is one of those requests that can generate lots of posts, overwhelming you with options, and annoying us as you tell us why you don't like any of the suggestions. You could start by searching the package database for "menu": http://www.archlinux.org/packages/?sort … =&limit=50
Or if you like one of the ones you mentioned, take inxsible's advice and fix the pkgbuild (or build it without one -- it can be done).
