Following this wiki entry second time ( first was with previous media )
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Un … B_from_ISO
and noticed the "startup.nsh" is not in the "efiboot.img"
based on the blog entry... something about EFI boot has been simplified... this file no longer needed or is it an error?
for now I just copied the "startup.nsh" from my previous build
I've not tried executing anything yet... early hours in the morning and have work
thanks

The new iso no longer uses UEFI Shell, instead it uses gummiboot. Therefore startup.nsh is no longer needed.

thanks
what I did was extracted ( using file-roller ) the contents of the ISO to the USB ( formatted as EFI ) using "cp -r"... that was it... and it booted
oh and labeled the USB ARCH_201210 because it was looking for a mount point with that name
