Basically I'm just using a generic Intel PCI network card
When the network script starts upon booting I get the following errors:
SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
eth0: unknown interface: No such device
SIOCSIFNETMASK: No such device
SIOCSIFBRDADDR: No such device
eth0: unknown interface: No such device
SIOCADDRT: Network is unreachable

I'm getting the exact same output as BryanY after soing pacman -Syu...
And my Marvel Yukon module is loaded to my knowledge, also my mouse no longer works...

Have you tried using /dev/input/mice for your mouse?

OK...
When I boot up some modules are failing to load. I tried to use modprobe, but its failing, it seems modprobe isn't loading them from the correct location, its looking in /lib/modules/2.6.??? while the modules are infact in /lib/modules/2.6.13-ARCH/
lsmod is telling me NO modules are loaded at all.
My bootmanager is lilo, which I adjusted to conform with this upgrade, and reran it.
I dont quite understand why its not working :x

Do you have a separate /boot partition? Is it specified as noauto in fstab? If so, mount it and reinstall the new kernel.

I double checked my lilo.conf, and while I was in the directory I also saw a lilo.conf.pacnew which I changed to reflect my lilo.conf. I then reran lilo and its now working, I dont know if it had anything to do with the lilo.conf.pacnew or what that file is for. But its almost all up and running now
So BryanY, try running lilo again...

I'm running grub. I've made the necessary menu.lst changes.
My sound drivers work, as well as my video drivers.
But it just won't seem to detect my network card.
[also, I'm using the standard Arch kernel without any modifications]

I posted this really often in the last 3 days so plz don't annoyed by this answer.
Downgrading to an older kernel should solve your problems or compile one by yourself. The stock 2.6.13 makes a lot of trouble you can see this when looking through the forum.
Using archck from the community repo might also help.

I reverted back to kernel 2.12 and the network works.
Unfortunately, the nVidia driver installer is asking for gcc 3.4 and can't seem to compile the module.

had the same problem - search for my thread in the newbie corner

OK, i got my network card to work with the new kernel.
Basically I just installed the hwd package and then configured it to startup before the network script.
