Hard drive disappeared ? [Solved]

Hi,

I've got two hard drives : one is S-ATA (main drive on which I installed Arch) and the second is an IDE hard drive (with a NTFS partition) which uses the same IDE cable as my DVD burner.

Since a few days ago, Arch doesn't detect my second hard drive (sdb, IDE) and my DVD burner !

Both my hard drive and my DVD burner are detected by my motherboard and are fully usable under Windows.

I have absolutely no idea to fix this problem...

Thanks !

P.S. : Some extras infos :
- my MB is a Gigabyte GA-965P-DS4.
- I installed arch using a CD-ROM. Immediately after the install, it worked (I managed to erase the CD with brasero and to access my hard drive)
- I thought it could be some module not loaded. But a lsmod returns me pata_acpi, pata_jmicron and libata.
- I use systemd and here is the result of journalctl (only the passage I found with references to IDE) :

Re: Hard drive disappeared ? [Solved]

Try an older kernel.

Sakura:-
Mobo: MSI MAG X570S TORPEDO MAX // Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X @4.9GHz // GFX: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT // RAM: 32GB (4x 8GB) Corsair DDR4 (@ 3000MHz) // Storage: 1x 3TB HDD, 6x 1TB SSD, 2x 120GB SSD, 1x 275GB M2 SSD

Making lemonade from lemons since 2015.

Re: Hard drive disappeared ? [Solved]

Solved by deleting the pata and scsi hooks in mkinitcpio.conf and running mkinitcpio -p linux.
