Interesting.. Thanks for deleting and noticing if it caused any trouble. There must have been something wrong with the omploader. I've posted in screenshots threads before with omploader/.gif files with no problems. Trying again/fixing in this post but with different approach, I have seperate files instead of omploader's own thumbnailing.

I imagine one way you could do it (correct me if I'm wrong) is using ffmpeg; it has a "gif" codec, which presumably allows to transcode a video to an animated GIF. I haven't tried it myself, though, so I can't be sure of how it works.
