Erratic wireless disconnects and re-connects

Hey there

After upgrading to the latest kernel, i'm no experiencing erratic disconnections and reconnections in my wireless, with varying times in between each bout. i'm connecting to a WPA2 encrypted wireless network. using openbox, managing the wireless setting using wpa_supplicant_gui. the chipset for my wireless card comes already supported, the rt2800, but here are my specs anyway

Hi,

I encountered the same problem after an update on 2012-10-31. I am running a pure systemd config and today I finally deleted my wireless connection and added it again - that solved my problem, to my surprise.

did you delete it using a gui-frontend?

Yes, forgot to mention. I am running KDE with the plasma applet for NetworkManager and deleted and added it in the applet.

okay, will report back after testing. also, would enabling netcfg help anything? i disabled it thinking it would cause conflicts with the wpa_supplicant_gui and it's dependancies.

and no luck, erratic behaviour persists, with either netcfg enabled or disabled

wireless is back to it's unstable state after upgrade to 3.6.6-1, downgrade back to 3.6.5-1 didn't help. Is there anyway of downgradingt he kernel beyond the ones i have in my cache?
