Re: [SOLVED] chrome flash

If you indeed mean Chrome and not Chromium, check if perhaps built in (pepper) flash is disabled using

chrome://plugins

In the case of Chromium, you can install pepper flash from the AUR - https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/chro … per-flash/ or https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/chro … sh-stable/

Re: [SOLVED] chrome flash

On the computer without Flash, have you tried reinstalling the google-chrome package?

Re: [SOLVED] chrome flash

If your two Arch installs are the same architecture, you could build google-chrome on your first computer and then copy over the xz package to the second computer.

Also you could try the google-chrome-beta or google-chrome-dev packages and see if they are missing Flash too.

Re: [SOLVED] chrome flash

Do both PCs support sse2? ("grep sse2 /proc/cpuinfo" to check)

Re: [SOLVED] chrome flash

Newest flashplugin requires sse2 (Adobe has left users of older PCs in the cold). Chrome devs disabled flashplugin on PCs without sse2, because it was crashing Chrome. It seems Chrome 19 uses a version of flashplugin that works without sse2.
