pcmanfm - applications problem

After last update pcmanfm can not get access to any folder under applications. I open Applications, then click i.e. Internet, and I get blank screen - no app list.
Running pcmanfm from cli shows it tries to release /tmp/.menu-cached-:0-$USERNAME, but fails.

Seems like menu-cached problem as https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=153031.

Re: pcmanfm - applications problem

What have you tried to fix it?  Was it successful?

What is your question?

reverting menu-cache solves the problem.

Re: pcmanfm - applications problem

downgrading a package is a workaround, not a  solution.

chuchuqa : did you file a bug report ?

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Re: pcmanfm - applications problem

it's the LXDE team bug http://blog.lxde.org/?p=963, and a similar bug report https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/32701?p … menu-cache was closed with WONTFIX.

Re: pcmanfm - applications problem

correct, and the menu-cache package is already flagged out of date so this problem should go away once 0.40.1 is in the repos.

Looks like another bug report is not needed.

Re: pcmanfm - applications problem

Seems to me, 0.4.1 won't fix the problem... Because in arch package 0.4.0 the missed header is included.

# journalctl|grep -i "menu-cache"
kernel: menu-cached[14194]: segfault at 100000007 ip 00007ff1797f69b2 sp 00007fff22698670 error 4 in libc-2.16.so[7ff17977d000+19d000]

Re: pcmanfm - applications problem

strange thing: in a fresh system install there's no such problem...
