I am giving a try to kernel26-lts and I did not experiment any disconnection (yet). I'll keep this thread updated...

I am having the same issue, but after a full system upgrade.
I have a dual boot and the issue is not there on windows 7.
It happens if I connect with either netcfg or manually.

Have you found a solution? I still have the problem and I couldn't find any way to solve this.

For me the problem was caused by using the hibernate functinality.
Unloading and then reloding the relevant wifi modules solved it. (in case iwl3945)

I am experiencing similar issues, and was under the impression that it started with the kernel upgrade to 3.0. See also https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … bug/903437.

Next to similar lines in the mentioned output, I came across these ones:

Since my last post I started having usb issues. I eventually changed my hardware (new laptop). I am still not 100% sure it was hardware related, but I could not take the risk of losing everything...

Today i had the weirdest issue of my Arch life. The wireless disconnects with no reason... I worked all day yesterday and this morning, it crashed. I downgraded the kernel to 3.2.14, to see if it's a kernel related problem (no problems so far). I have an atheros ar5007g, ath5 module.

Today i had the weirdest issue of my Arch life. The wireless disconnects with no reason... I worked all day yesterday and this morning, it crashed. I downgraded the kernel to 3.2.14, to see if it's a kernel related problem (no problems so far). I have an atheros ar5007g, ath5 module.

I've also experienced frequent wireless drops since the kernel 3.3.x update.  I will try downgrading if I can't find something more conclusive.

Thanks, but not so comfortable yet with compiling kernels (and made my /boot partition too small). Problems started to occur already a while ago, I guess around the time this thread started. There was bug posted on launchpad for the 3.0 kernel for the same card, so it might be a nice try to go for the 2.6-lts kernel to see if 3.0 introduced this behavior.

Guess I should man up and grow said /boot

Ok so here is the deal for me, I have 2 laptops, one has a broadcom card, on b43 and no problems so far using wifi with 3.3.x, no drops at all. The other has an atheros card, using the ath9k module and since the kernel update I experienced the drops and auth problems, downgraded to 3.2.14 and it's working like a charm again.

Welp, I finally downgraded to 3.2.14 and am having no issues whatsoever.  I've blacklisted "linux" in pacman.conf and hopefully with the next release, this issue is fixed.  C'est la vie.

I'm happy to report that after upgrading to kernel 3.3.2-1, I've not experienced any wireless problems whatsoever.  In fact, connections are made even faster than before.
