NFS mounting issues

Greetings.

I've been trying to make a NFS mountpoint since yesterday with no luck.
It used to work out of the box before, so I'm wondering what the hell is happening.

I made a few checks with rpcinfo and showmount: the server answers properly, expose the mounting point I'm looking for, and support the version 2 and 3 of the protocol.

Rpcbind is running and the nfs kernel module is properly loaded.

Yet, when I try to mount, like this:

mount phi:/faust /mnt/phi

I get this output:

mount.nfs: Protocol not supported

I'm not running the NFS server myself. So I can't actually change or check its configuration.
I can only assume that my configuration is the problem.

Does someone understand what might be happening here ?

And one question as well: despite the fact that the server uses the version 3 of the nfs protocol, I am not concerned by the NFSv3 page of the wiki since my nfs package is up to date (1.2.6). Right ?

Re: NFS mounting issues

Are you using the full export path in your mount call?

I may have to CONSOLE you about your usage of ridiculously easy graphical interfaces...
Look ma, no mouse.

Re: NFS mounting issues

I guess I am.
None of those two pathes are relative.
