You're supposed to be using extensions.gnome.org to get your extensions, not the repos.
I have previously used AUR but I now use extensions.gnome.org which work flawlessly. How are those two different and which one are recommended?

Strange, I also can't use the gnome-shell browser plugin in Firefox. The plugin gets not detected. However, in Google Chrome it does work as usual.
