I am having serious video/audio desynchronization (audio goes ahead of the video) when watching videos. I don't know where to look into. Any ideas?

Yo Dawg, I heard you likes patches, so I have created a patch for your patch, so you can patch your patches before you patch.

Did this happen on other Linux distros? For instance Ubuntu? Or this is your first time, arch & linux? Is this a pure Arch install and not a derivative?
Don't forget to mark as [SOLVED].

I don't have other linux distro's at the moment. I have been using arch for 1-2 years I guess. This is a pure Arch install, I have installed it recently. Previously I wasn't experiencing this. I am thinking I may have done some configuaration errors.

Are you by any chance using Pulseaudio? There's this option in Pulseaudio that allows you to output simultaneously to multiple sound cards/outputs (which sounds useful), but whenever I use it, I get problems like you are experiencing. The first time, it took me months to figure it out, now I just avoid that option
