^It's an alias in ~/.gitconfig for
git log --pretty=format:'%C(yellow)%h%C(magenta)%d%Creset %s %C(cyan)%cr%Creset' --graph

The --pretty=format variables are described in man git-log, under "placeholders".

A more general one is:
git log --decorate --pretty=oneline --abbrev-commit --graph
