Hello all,
I have a laptop that is connected to the internet using an ethernet DHCP connection (direct cable to the modem) with netctl.
I would like to create an ad-hoc network using this laptop's wireless card, so my other laptop could use a shared internet connection.
Basically, modem -> (cable) -> laptop 1 -> (ad-hoc wireless) -> laptop 2
Although I looked at many search results, I couldn't find one that deals with both internet sharing AND ad-hoc connection.
I'm using netctl, but instructions for netcfg should be fine, it shouldn't be too hard to translate...
Thanks, Adam.
* Edit *
I ended up switching from netctl to networkmanager, see post #3.

Thanks, hcjl, I'll have a look.

Ended up switching to networkmanager and the corresponding KDE plasma applet.
It's really a breeze to set it up this way.
