[Solved] Ralink RT3062 connection breaks down under high load

Since a couple of days (I assume with the update to 3.7.5 or 3.7.6) My WiFi connection will break down if the load is too high (like YT 720p)
So far I figured out that the problem existed before, but was solved with a driver update.

uname -a:

Linux hostname 3.7.8-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Feb 15 03:39:05 EET 2013 x86_64 GNU/Linux

iwconfig wlan0:

wlan0 IEEE 802.11bgn ESSID:"Something"
          Mode:Managed Frequency:2.422 GHz Access Point: 00:00:00:00:00:00
          Bit Rate=130 Mb/s Tx-Power=20 dBm
          Retry long limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
          Power Management:off
          Link Quality=54/70 Signal level=-56 dBm
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
          Tx excessive retries:341 Invalid misc:168 Missed beacon:0

lspci -vvs:

Any help is appreciated.

Re: [Solved] Ralink RT3062 connection breaks down under high load

I have exactly the same card and haven't had any problems with it. The only differences I can see are my latency is 32 and cache line size is 4 bytes.

Everything else looks the same, so doesn't look like a driver problem.

Re: [Solved] Ralink RT3062 connection breaks down under high load

Weirdest thing. I rolled back to 3.7.5, to see if it works. It did. Updated to 3.7.8 again and it still does. So either it was some package that was updated too, or something went wrong with the first update...
Although I like problems that solve themselves that's kinda weird.

Re: [Solved] Ralink RT3062 connection breaks down under high load

I reinstalled due to a HDD replacement and my inability to make a proper backup. Since then I'm bugged by this issue again. Additionally the connection breaks down randomly. Could be a reception or interference issue, but the card works just fine with Windoze (parallel install) so it seems less likely.
journalctl shows me the infamous deathenticating due to local choice (reason=3)
So far I tried disabling the IPv6 stack, without success, and using netcfg instead of networkmanager, without success as well. Using the proprietary driver got me a kernel panic.
I have no idea what else to try... Please help.

Re: [Solved] Ralink RT3062 connection breaks down under high load

Solved by getting a new WiFi card with an Atheros chipset. And that's still cheaper than a 20m cat6 cable...
