[SOLVED] Suspend, temp3 goes from 20C to 100C

EDIT No problems using linux-lts kernel. Maybe 3.8 kernel works too. Thanks!

----
Then fan is running 100%, noise is terrible and nothing that I know of but reboot helps. Sometimes I had this same problem on Ubuntu and all went normal if suspended again, so this should be solvable.

$ sensors
acpitz-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1:        +52.0°C  (crit = +105.0°C)
temp2:        +29.7°C  (crit = +108.0°C)
temp3:        +20.0°C  (crit = +110.0°C)
temp4:        +49.0°C  (crit = +256.0°C)
temp5:        +55.0°C  (crit = +108.0°C)

coretemp-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
Core 0:       +56.0°C  (high = +100.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)

after suspend

$ sensors
acpitz-virtual-0
Adapter: Virtual device
temp1:        +53.0°C  (crit = +105.0°C)
temp2:        +29.8°C  (crit = +108.0°C)
temp3:       +100.0°C  (crit = +110.0°C)
temp4:        +57.0°C  (crit = +256.0°C)
temp5:        +54.0°C  (crit = +108.0°C)

coretemp-isa-0000
Adapter: ISA adapter
Core 0:       +55.0°C  (high = +100.0°C, crit = +100.0°C)

Almost same problem here but not solved. https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=156681

What kernel are you on?  Have you tried older/newer kernels? Does this issue exist across all kernels tested?

Re: [SOLVED] Suspend, temp3 goes from 20C to 100C

Well 'uname -a' tells 3.7.9-1-ARCH. Haven't tried anything because no idea where to start looking. :-) I guess it's same with every kernel, because Ubuntu 10.04-12.04 had this same problem but occurred randomly, like once a month. Now that happens every time and won't stop until reboot (sure there are better ways but I am very noob).

You should try to offer more information:  What is your computer model and processor, journalctl log from the wakeup period.  Also, make sure all your vents are clean and clear of dust.

https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/32025

Use LTS kernel to see if this fixes your issue. Or wait for 3.8 kernel.

Yeah thanks fellas, lts-kernel works well. I'll try 3.8 when it comes.
