I am trying to install archlinux and my network uses squid proxy.
running pacman give an eroor about self signed ssl certificate..the issue is i can not install archlinux.
So if there is a workaround then it will be great.

What does the error say exactly? Keep in mind that typically vague questions around here don't garner very much response.
BTW, Wellness to the forums.

thanks for reply..
error: failed retrieving file 'core.db' from mir1.archlinux.fr : SSL certificate problem: self signed certificate
pacman gives this error for every mirror.

Try another mirror. They are signing the database with their own key, and pacman (curl?) is rejecting it.

As far as I know, databases are not (yet?) signed at all so I don't think that's the problem.
Guessing it has to do with the proxy set up but I don't know anything about squid...
