Tools for network management and control

I manage my job's network and I'm interested in knowing tools for seeing what's going on in it

I currently monitor the critical machines with icinga (nagios) + cacti
Now, I'm looking for something else, before, i have been using darkstat, but I want to know what's out there besides this.

My idea is to be able to know the traffic between machines, SO of each machine and stuff like this, in a graphic mode if possible from my control workstation

What tools do you use for this kind of task?
