Hello.
I'm using GeForce 8800 GT (rev a2) which is driven by nouveau driver. Since last update the hibernation works not correctly. The graphic card fan stay on 100% speed after turning the pc from the sleep state. Is there any workaround? I won't use proprietary driver. Thank you!
Update:
Same problem on 3.7.4 kernel.

I can confirm this same problem with intel 945 graphics. Upon resume system fan runs at 100%. I am not shure if this is specific to the type of graphics hardware. This does not happen upon bootup, only upon resume.
uname -a

I have found what I believe to be the problem, but do not know how to fix it.

I am confident that temp5 is not 90 degrees.

I can confirm this with nouveau driver 1.0.6-1 and Linux 3.7.4-1.
Hardware is nVidia GTX 275.

I also can confirm this issue, nouveau 1.0.6-1 and linux 3.7.4-1; hardware is nVidia Quattro FX 580 (nv50).

Hm, I am having bad suspend/resume stability with 3.7.5 and the NVidia binary driver on a Dell XPS M1330 with Geforce 8400M GS.
Sometimes only one CPU comes back up, sometimes hibernate hangs.

Following reasterling's post, I installed lm_sensors, ran
# sensors-detect
after which running
sensors
gives:

For me the crazy temperature seems to be temp3 on the isa adapter, the temperature is set to the maximum of 127°C. The fan4 and fan5 revolutions are also non-realistic.
Could anyone else resolve this?
For the record, I am now on nouveau 1.0.6-2 and Linux 3.8.3-2.

I confirm this issue with nouveau-dri 9.1-3 + linux 3.8.3-2. The issue is not present with linux-lts kernel. Not present with proprietary driver both on 3.8.3 and lts kernel.
