Since yesterday when running pacman -Syu I am seeing:
:: Starting full system upgrade...
warning: libdbi-drivers: local (0.8.3_1-3) is newer than community (0.8.3_1-2)
Does anyone know if this is just a slow mirror sync issue or something else?

try changing the mirror that you are using and see if its still an issue.
https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?sor … =&flagged= shows that your mirror is correct though. Did you install those drivers externally? it might also be that the drivers were downgraded due to some issue. You will have to check the relevant mailing list for more info on that.
if its not critical that you use a certain version, then you can simply uninstall and re-install them to get in sync with the mirrors.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

I have the same issue. I originally got the package from [community] and the problem arose for me after I switched from mysql to mariadb, though I think that was coincidental. I think it may have been an oops on the part of the package maintainer? "grawity" on IRC pointed me to
https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit … c8a0ed129d
where the pkgrel went from 3 to 2.
I did a "pacman -S libdbi-drivers". It told me I was downgrading, but I think it actually put me to the current release.

Not sure if this was the right thing to do, but I filed a bug report at https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/34483.

Currently on the page at https://www.archlinux.org/packages/comm … i-drivers/ the current version is libdbi-drivers 0.8.3_1-2
However I have installed
pacman -Q libdbi-drivers
libdbi-drivers 0.8.3_1-3
So maybe the version in the [community] repo should be pkgrel 3 and not 2? It would be nice to see a definitive solution.

well, I don't know if there is any bug to fix. it was just a different pkgrel number which happened to be less than the one used previously. So the "fix" would be to simply up that pkgrel number to 4 -- leading to an upgrade as far as your local pacman cache is concerned I guess. Your bug report might simply be marked as won't fix or something.

Okay, thanks. I think you're right, but I didn't know the best way to let the maintainer know about the pkgrel number issue.

FYI, the package is now update to pkgrel 4. A pacman -Syu should update it appropriately.

Thank you for fixing so quickly. Yes pacman update works fine.
