This sounds like exactly the same problem I posted about yesterday: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=160391
Yes, this looks exactly like your problem, hmm does other dist with LO 4 have this problem? Or it is Arch problem? Hmm I am using too ck kernel, but 3.8.4 with uksm, but I don't think kernel can made this problem.
Mine is working fine! Libreoffice 126.96.36.199 Arch Linux build-5 on Linux 3.8.5-1-ck.
Linux / 4.1.6-1-ARCH-ck / x86_64 / AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor
no problems here, running testing and not booting with systemd.
Booting with apg Openrc, NOT systemd.
Automounting : not needed, i prefer pmount
Aur helpers : makepkg + my own local repo === rarely need them
I've had some trouble with libreoffice calc in the past.
What saved me was the removal of outated libreoffice-extension-* from aur and rm ~.config/libreoffice
extra/libreoffice-base 4.0.1-5 (libreoffice) [installed] extra/libreoffice-calc 4.0.1-5 (libreoffice) [installed] extra/libreoffice-common 4.0.1-5 (libreoffice) [installed] extra/libreoffice-draw 4.0.1-5 (libreoffice) [installed] extra/libreoffice-extension-nlpsolver 4.0.1-5 (libreoffice-extensions) [installed] extra/libreoffice-extension-presentation-minimizer 4.0.1-5 (libreoffice-extensions) [installed] extra/libreoffice-extension-report-builder 4.0.1-5 (libreoffice-extensions) [installed] extra/libreoffice-extension-wiki-publisher 4.0.1-5 (libreoffice-extensions) [installed] extra/libreoffice-gnome 4.0.1-5 (libreoffice) [installed] extra/libreoffice-impress 4.0.1-5 (libreoffice) [installed] extra/libreoffice-math 4.0.1-5 (libreoffice) [installed] extra/libreoffice-pl 4.0.1-1 [installed] extra/libreoffice-writer 4.0.1-5 (libreoffice) [installed] aur/ooo-thumbnailer 0.2-6 [installed] (96)
Only ooo is from aur, but it isn't an extension, an idea?
Ok, I find the problem, I have some out-date extension with doesn't shows in aur, I removed it one by one, and find that the libreoffice-extension-numbertext made the problem, thanks for helping .

Beautiful! Thank you, both kokoko3k and dragonn. Removing libreoffice-extension-numbertext and moving ~/.config/libreoffice/ saved the day. This is definitely [Solved] for me.
@dragonn: mark as solved
I also had this problems some months ago and also it got fixed by removing that extension.
However, now the problem is back and Calc is crashing all the time when I try to open any spreadsheet. Anyone else is having this problem now?
@Bogart There have been a few versions of LO since this thread was relevant. Please start a new topic, and link to this one if you believe it is relevant.
