Can't get BCM4312 working

I have a broadcom wireless BCM4312 card in my laptop and I have tried to install the b43 driver because that was the one I used with ubuntu. It installs just fine but when i run

ip link set wlan0 up

wlan0's state is still down! Then I tried the wl driver but after I run

ip link set wlp6s0 up

the state switches to uknown.

Make sure to check http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43.

The b43 driver comes bundled with the kernel. You should just need to install b43-firmware from the AUR.
