epdfview don't show the pdf files.

it could open small files but don't display correctly. And large files are not shown at all.

Re: epdfview don't show the pdf files.

I had similar problems a while ago, and did some checking.

Last version was realeased in may 2011, and the project website doesn't seem to exist anymore.
I switched to okular (kdegraphics-okular) .

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?

tongue to bad it was a light pdf viewer. I use okular 5 years but now i switched to xfce4, now i'm building https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/evince2-light/ is the best option for xfce4 i think.

I used to see something like this with ePDFview...

Try this: Open a file that doesn't display correctly. Now zoom in a little bit. Now zoom out a little bit. Can you see the PDF now?

Oh my gosh, I switched from ePDFview to Okular too! It was a few months ago. I finally stopped worrying and learned to love having multiple widget toolkit libraries.

Too much for what? Too big for your drive? wink

I chose to install every one of those dependencies, just so I could use Okular (and eventually K3B), because it was the best PDF viewer I could find. My root partition is 20 GB, so I have plenty of space that's just WAITING to have applications installed on it. And pacman doesn't care, it'll update whatever I install just fine.

I hope you find a replacement for ePDFview that you like. If you do find something, it'll probably be EXACTLY what I was looking for before I started using Okular. tongue
