Hello,
I wanted to install catalyst-dkms on my system but the dependency "catalyst-utils" is not available in the Official repositories.
Before updating my system it was available but now it disappeared.
Is this temporal or was this package completely removed?

I believe catalyst does not work with the latest xorg-server and was dropped to AUR. It always is a problem with catalyst since they are a bit slow catching up with xorg. You can install it from AUR, but you will have to downgrade xorg. Or you can simply use the open source ati drivers.
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

Ok thank you. That was exactly what I discovered before the update.
I wanted to install catalyst-dkms but it told me that it has a conflict with xorg-server. The conflict was caused by the version so I decided to update my system.
EDIT:
I searched for catalyst-utils in the AUR but it wasn't there too.

I know that catalyst-dkms is in the repos.
The issue is that the dependency "catalyst-utils" isn't there. I don't know why it's not available anymore but it's quite strange to remove catalyst-utils without removing "catalyst-dkms" too.
That's why I asked if it's temporal or if it was completely removed.

Yes, catalyst-utils seems to be removed from the repos and Vi0l0 obviously did some clean up. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/catalyst-total/ comes with catalyst-utils.
Edit: still a lot of catalyst packages in the AUR, so I might be mistaken about the clean up (or even the need for a clean up), catalyst-utils is there and everything should work out.

Thanks for the Link but now I've detected another problem:
The package description says that the driver doesn't support the Radeon HD 2000,3000,4000 series but on the offical site you find exactly the same driver when you're searching for a radeon 2100 driver.
Which one is right now?
EDIT: The offical site:

I supposed catalyst-dkms should be removed too. I mentionned it on the bug tracker: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/33492#comment108787

Oh thank you cookies!
Seems that I overlooked the package "catalyst-total-hd234k".
I'm gonna try it now.

Now i know why they removed it...
I had to downgrade xorg but the server didn't start because it missed some libraries that where replaced by systemd.
And the nicest thing about it: After nearly rebuilding my whole system it turned out that the driver doesn't support my graficchip anymore so I had to uninstall everything again -.-
I don't know why they write on the official amd site that the driver supports my chip but it definatly doesn't!
Thanks for your help anyways!
