[SOLVED] Gnome unusable since upgrading to 3.8
Since I pacmaned -Syu yesterday, I cannot use my favorite desktop environment anymore. There is a lot of HUGE graphical glitches (screen turning blue once in a while, unreadable fonts...) and everything is incredibly slow and unresponsive. I have the same problems with "gnome classic", "cinnamon" or "cinnamon 2D", when -painfully- managing to close my session and go back to GDM (which work fine and fast with no graphical weirdness). I'm using fluxbox right now and it works perfectly, even when lauching 3D apps.
As there also was a xorg update (1.14.0 to 1.14.1), I tried to downgrade it, but it didn't change anything.
Xorg logs aren't of any help, no particular error.
I'm using a Radeon HD 6670 on 3 different monitors with opensource ATI drivers and it used to work just fine for me.
Does anyone have an idea of a magical xorg or gnome config entry that would solve everything before I start trying to downgrade to gnome 3.6, which I guess is going to be really annoying given the number of packages involved ?

Turns out I had to disable antialiasing in DRIconf
Now everything works !

not so. You can edit your title if you edit your first post. there is a limitation in the number of characters but you can definitely modify the title.
You have been on this boards longer than I have, I am surprised you don't know that. Its also explained in the Forum Rules link in my sig
