For a long time I have had a wireless USB adapter for the soul purpose of sharing my PC's wired internet connection with my laptop and Android devices over an Ad-hoc network. Unfortunately this has been in Windows and was started through a batch file every boot. I would like to write a shell file to do the same now that this machine is solely Arch Linux (HOORAY, no more C# development). I'm not quite sure what iwconfig commands I need to use, I'm able to create an ad-hoc network, but I don't know how to share my internet connection with it.
Also, while on the subject, I'm not sure what happened since my return to Arch, but now network interfaces have funky names. Is there a way I can alias them back to eth0, eth1 and wlan0?
Thanks!
