Acer Laptop travelmate 2410

I´m about to install a Acer laptop ...
After the install from the CD - I would like to update all - but the network doesen´t work at all..
I have looked through the specifications - nothing about the ethernetkort..

Can anybody tell me where to go from here ??? Cause I really do not know.. About building a package - I´m not that good to Arch...

Yet - hopefully...

THX

Re: Acer Laptop travelmate 2410

As with most linux systems, you either need to know your hardware modules, or you need to use hotplug (or something similar).

Simplest solution is to add 'hotplug' to the DAEMONS array in rc.conf.

If you'd like, you can also provide us with the output of "lspci" and/or "lshwd" (if it's installed), and someone can tell you your network module.

Re: Acer Laptop travelmate 2410

After reinstallin again the eth0 work.. Then I did pacman -Syu and it killed it again.. In the logs it says that I should modprobe 8139too instead of the other one - That´s works - thanks
