virt-manager cannot display spice: No module named SpiceClientGtk

Hi,

virt-manager is not able to display guests using spice protocol. It gives an error as No module named SpiceClientGtk (see screenshot below).

I'm able to view the guest with the spicec command. I'm able to view non-spice guests in virt-manager normally.

spice-gtk package is installed. I also tried with spice-gtk3 package and got same result. For now reverted back to spice-gtk.

qemu is stock qemu from abs recompiled with --enable-spice as recommended in wiki. I've symlinked /usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 to /usr/bin/qemu-kvm. I tried symlinking it as qemu-spice and qemu-kvm-spice as  well but it made no difference.

A general google search gave me results from ubuntu and suse which recommend installing a python-spice-client-gtk package, but I found no such package in repo or AUR.

There's an older post in the BBS with same symptoms: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=151231

But it's of no use since his problem was resolved by installing spice-gtk, whereas that was the intial condition for me.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks,
