I have an ethernet over mains connection to my desk, where I run Arch Linux with KDE installed. I have NetworkManager set up, and I am connected such that in Firefox, I always get a nice internet connection, pacman works, and I am using the KDE Plasma Network applet. The problem is that in all KDE applications, I occasionally have issues.
For example, in Konqueror using the WebKit engine, loading a website will often start off with a 'The requested operation could not be completed'. I refresh the page, and get the proper page, but with no CSS. On another refresh, it works. While I can probably live with this, this has some knockoff issues in other apps, such as Kontact.
I have a Google Calendar, which I normally connect up with Kontact or Thunderbird. When I select the Google Calendar bit in KOrganizer, sometimes it does not show anything in the box, sometimes it has no CSS, and sometimes it works. When I then select 'add' it either times out, or returns 'Invalid response content type'. I believe this is because it is just getting an error page back.
This has also happened on Chakra Linux, however when I ran MATE on Arch a while ago it did not have these issues, and nor do any non KDE apps. I chose to put it in this sub directory as it is to do with networking, however if it should have gone in something like Desktop Environments, then I am sorry.
