window shadow persists when rolling up a window in GNOME

I've attached a screenshot for this to make sense. When I click the titlebar of a window (to roll it up -- "toggle shade" in GNOME tweak tool) the area where the window had been remains. I am running the latest NVIDIA binary.

Has anyone seen something similar?

I just verified that happens on my system.

Edit:  BTW, mine is Intel graphics

I ended up switching back to i3. I like GNOME but for as many features that seem to work there are new bugs all of the time. hmm
