Re: How can I convert a https proxy to socks5?

Update: My proxy server is using CCProxy. And in windows clients, users can use proxifire with https proxy option. Now, I want to connect it using firefox proxy settings on arch linux.
It is protected and needs authentication. I want to forward it to an local port and use it as a http or socks proxy on firefox.
Are you understand? big_smile
Sorry for my bad English.

You need the IP of the computer you are using as the proxy. The default ports for ccproxy are listed here: http://www.youngzsoft.net/ccproxy/faq_1.htm

Re: How can I convert a https proxy to socks5?

Thanks for your answer. But it is not my question answer sad
My question:
I have a windows proxy server and it is using CCProxy. I want to connect to it. It's HTTPS Proxy.
I want to tunnel to it, I want to create a local proxy at localhost with any port. I want to connect to my local proxy:
Firefox > Local proxy > Server:808
How can I do it? can i use polipo for this?
Are you understand? big_smile

Re: How can I convert a https proxy to socks5?

I don't really understand your problem. You want to use the proxy? Then set it in firefox. If you don't want to use it, then don't use it. Why do you have to create a local proxy first?

Re: How can I convert a https proxy to socks5?

You can create a socks proxy with dante, you can redirect your applications to a socks proxy with socksify (in the dante package).
AFAIK, the danted proxy can forward traffic to another socks proxy or a http 1.0 proxy.
Edit: Just found http://proxychains.sourceforge.net/
