networkmanager, openvpn, and privateinternetaccess.com

Hello,

I recently purchased vpn service, and I am having trouble setting up access through networkmanager. I installed openvpn and the plugin, but whenever I attempt to connect to the vpn, I get an error stating: "the VPN service failed to start".

I have been able to manually configure openvpn to work by creating a config file and starting the service on boot, but I would rather use the networkmanager front end to enable/disable and switch servers.

Apologies if I am being unclear, the Arch wiki and the one on privateinternetaccess.com both do not address this issue.

Thanks!

Re: networkmanager, openvpn, and privateinternetaccess.com

Works for me.  Create new openvpn connnection, enter server, change authentication to password(enter username, pass, ca.crt), check the LZA compression box, and that's about it I think.

Try the Ubuntu instructions on privateinternetaccess.com (there's 2 one with an installer and one for network manager)
