Friends:
I upgraded my Arch Linux inside my Virtualbox and now I cant reach any network.
uname -r gives
3.9.5-1-ARCH
I also see the following info
Dependency failed for dhcpcd on eth0.
I am not sure what else can be done.
Please help my network breathe so I can do other stuff.

If this were true, you'd be able to list the things that you've tried and post additional debug info, saving people time from (re)asking you these questions.
Your original post contains nothing of value, and no one will be able to give you advice of any value except to point you in the direction that you claim you've already gone.

Back off ok. You dont want to help dont help. Dont tell folks what they should put in.
Did it occur to you as to what folks should even report back. I have tons of data but if basic network does not work on the ArchLinux box I have to start at some point.
Did you or the other person bother to say can u provide this input and I will more then happy to provide.
So do u want any specific info that you are asking and I will be more than happy to provide.
Doing a regular update of packman -Syu caused my box to not reach network. Go figure.
I hate to say this, but I am very thin on patience with Arch...... ( 4 folks in my office and 2 in Atlanta mailing list have given up on Arch)

Have you googled 'Dependency failed for dhcpcd on eth0'?

The problem is that no one is able to help you because you've not said much more than "it doesn't work". This isn't going to lead to a constructive or fruitful exchange.

Feel free to share any amount of that "tons of data". We're waiting patiently.

Sounds like Arch isn't for you. No worries, there's plenty of other distros out there.

Arch is for me. I try a lot of stuff before I post questions.
Here is the best info I can provide for now.

Since no network I cant copy paste or ssh into so I can capture logs.

Yes Karol, I have and I have tons of hits too.
Most common is to saysystemctl start dhcpcd@enp0s3.service
or
systemctl enable dhcpcd@enp0s3.serviceBoth are not working out.
If you are wondering where your post went, you hit the 'Report' link, not the 'Reply' link. It happens.

I really would not suggest going head to head with falconindy. First off, it is against our policy. Second, it you want the best advice that is available, and he happens by, you will get exactly that -- the best advice for Arch. Falconindy can be very direct and will make it painfully clear when you are off base; I am extremely surprised that he did not rebuke you and move on his way. I think you got lucky.

Thank You for the simple guidance you gave me. It is not my personality to get confrontational.
I was already very upset at this whole Arch update thing. I really love Arch. I want it to work for me.
But thank you for correcting me.
FalconIndy, Sorry and please help me out.
Regards,

This is what I have latest. I kept the .vdi and .vmdk files intact.
I created a new VirtualBox VM and instead of creating new disks there I attached existing disks.
I then booted the box up and my network is fine. It looks like I am all set.
Thanks for the various posts.
