Networking inconsistency

With my latest Arch install, there seems to be a 50/50 chance that I'll get fully into X without networking up and running.

A simple systemctl restart network solves the issue, but then why is it failing in the first place / why is it inconsistent?

For reference, when the network isn't functioning, the symptoms seem to be a missing IP address/subnet mask and gateway.

If this is all uselessly vague, I'll copy down an ifconfig or so when I reboot next.

Re: Networking inconsistency

Some explanation about how you actually connect to the network would be nice (dhcp, netcfg, network-manager, etc...). Also, logs.
