[SOLVED] Cannot copy data to other partitions

I am a newbie to Arch linux. I installed Arch following the beginners tutorial. I have a dual boot of windows 7 and Arch Linux (64-bit) with GNOME 3.8

I cannot copy my data to any other partitions apart from the ones i created for linux. I have to move some of my data to the other drive to clear space in the linux home directory.

Whenever i try to copy something to my drive i get "Cannot copy FILE to this destination, You do not have permissions to create it in this destination".

Also, when i was using mint, i did not have to go through an authentication when mounting a drive. Can i remove the authentication?
