Yesterday I cocked pacman's database up. I know i'm an idiot, i don't know what i was thinkng about.
So, with 0.7 install cd I made a fresh ftp install, with Xfce4 as primary wm. I love screwing things up , so i use a testing box and installed latest modularized-xorg :? . Now everything works like a charm (like it used to), but 2 things:
1.- Rox doesn't identify anything (Konqueror identifies every single file ok). Doing an update-mime-database i got this:
Note that '/usr/share' is not in the search path
set by the XDG_DATA_HOME and XDG_DATA_DIRS
environment variables, so applications may not
be able to find it until you set them. The
directories currently searched are:
- /root/.local/share
- /opt/kde/share
- /opt/xfce4/share
- /opt/kde/share
- /opt/xfce4/share
2.- Only a few apps are listed in my menu. This happens in KDE too. I guess the first stuff i installed was there, but now almost everything is gone. I didn't get when this happened :?:
I really don't know if this is a problem of mine or xorg pkg.
I really don't know anything
Thanks in advance,
Martin

Hope that helps.

Now i know both problems come from same origin: Mime and .desktop files are located under /usr/share, but my system is looking for them under /opt/kde/share and /opt/xfce/share.
I cannot understand where or when started this problem, i still think that xorg 7.0 may have some role...
