I need dig. I use dig a lot. Two questions
1) How can I find what files each package supplys (like - I need dig - I want to know which package to install. I go here and search for dig)
2) Which package supplys Dig and other ip tools like that?

1, You cant unfortunately. You have to rely on an accurate package description.
If the package is already installed on your computer though, you can do:
pacman -Ql packagename
that will list all the files in it.

The bind package owns dig.

thanks for this thread. Had no idea where to even start to look.
and you don't need full bind. install just bind-tools (which installs when you install bind)
