Exec script on network drop or on netctl profile down

Hi all-

I'd like to have a script executed whenever the network connection is dropped.  Preferably, this would run every time the network connection becomes unavailable, regardless of the circumstances.  However, I would also be happy if I could get netctl to trigger a script when a profile is brought down.

I'm using netctl on a machine that goes between a wireless connection and an ethernet connection, so I don't think ifplugd would be sufficient.

Does anyone have any insight?

Thanks in advance!
