"current" kernel--devfs=nomount still necessary?

Hi there,

Quick question: As the later standard kernels don't support devfs any longer, is it still necessary to include the line

devfs=nomount

to your bootloader's config file to enable udev? Currently, my grub config looks like this:

title Arch Linux (2.6.14.4)
root (hd1,5)
kernel (hd1,0)/vmlinuz26 root=/dev/hdb6 ro vga=791
initrd (hd1,0)/initrd26.img
devfs=nomount

It doesn't seem to be necessary if you're using a kernel that doesn't support devfs.

It's necessary if you're using the 2.4 or 2.6.10 kernels, which still support devfs. Otherwise, no.
