'pacman -d' (aka nodeps checking) is your friend. That's why syslog-ng is not in official repos yet smile. Other pkgs need modification first...

pacman -d didn't work either... i've installed libao and than extracted the tar.gz-file in / - everything's working fine here. great work wink
