[dissolved] spideroak troubles

Is anybody having trouble with spideroak? It worked perfectly for me until today and now it is perpetually stuck trying to sync. I had found that I sometimes need to quit and restart it recently but basically it "just worked".

Now it is endlessly stuck trying to upload the latest files for a synced folder. The total amount it needs to upload is only 1.43MB. Since I have almost 1G of free space on SpiderOak, this shouldn't be a problem.

Examining the logs (the most recent of the ~/.SpiderOak/spider*.log files), I find repeated examples of blocks along the following lines:

2013-09-13 21:49:48,968 DEBUG check_schedule time_since_last = 86, scheduling enabled: False, paths = 'defaultdict(, {})', delta_since_last = 'datetime.timedelta(0, 30, 9370)'

2013-09-13 21:49:48,969 DEBUG check_schedule sync time_to_wait = 'None'

2013-09-13 21:49:48,969 DEBUG check_schedule share time_to_wait = 'False'

2013-09-13 21:49:48,974 DEBUG spider Net: Notifying server of xact XXXXXX-X-XXXX
2013-09-13 21:49:49,103 DEBUG spider Network: Failure notifying server of local xact log_num:XXXXXX-X-XXXX (will retry): (twisted.spread.pb.CopiedFailure) [Errno 28] No space left on device
2013-09-13 21:49:49,104 ERROR twisted Unhandled error in Deferred:
2013-09-13 21:49:49,104 ERROR twisted Unhandled Error
Traceback from remote host -- Traceback unavailable

Note that the XXXXXX-X-XXXX is because I am not sure if the original numbers are sensitive data or not.

I am not short of space on SpiderOak or on any local disk or on any temporary filesystem (e.g. /tmp) so I am really confused by the "No space left on device".

I have tried running --repair from the command line. This succeeded fine but the problem is still there. I have also tried running it with --batchmode --verbose rather than using the GUI but it just hangs forever after calculating the actions needed for each sync without producing any other useful output.

Can anybody suggest anything I can check or do to correct this? I switched to SpiderOak after problems with my previous backup solution and I really hope this is not going to end up the same way - SpiderOak was such a relief after my experiences with wuala!

journalctl doesn't show me anything useful.

Note that I have also posted this at https://spideroak.com/forum/threads/id/3156/ but I do not hold out too much hope of getting help there.

Re: [dissolved] spideroak troubles

I have also tried

spideroak --destroy-shelved-x
spideroak --repair
spideroak --verbose --batchmode

and also rebooting and emailing support but I'm still getting that twisted.spread.pb.CopiedFailure error and the complaint about lack of space on the device.

It scans everything, it finds the stuff it needs to update, it calculates the sync actions required and then it just hangs spewing the error shown above in to the log. I can't understand what I've done or what is different that I'm suddenly getting this. Worked fine yesterday.

Re: [dissolved] spideroak troubles

This now appears to be magically working again even though I didn't do anything.
