Odd issue with wifi reverting back to wlan0

Have this odd issue where wifi naming conventions will revert back to the old wlan0 naming scheme?

Has any one else noticed this?

Typically on the next boot it reverts back to wlp7s0...

Someone on IRC had that issue recently. I don't recall if they found the cause, but I think they worked around it by just disabling the new naming functionality and sticking with the legacy device names.

Re: Odd issue with wifi reverting back to wlan0

I can verify tomk's answer as my own laptop's NIC was suddenly re-named after one boot to "wlan0" instead of "wl9ps0."  I've since re-named it and it has stuck just fine.

It must be something to do with my kernel as thats the only thing I can think of thats changed recently that could effect that..
